Pumpkin Soup

My Children love Pumpkin Soup all year round but especially in winter on the lounge under a blanket with a piece of good sourdough.

I hope you love my recipe as much as the kids do.



Pumpkin Soup

1/2 Butternut pumpkin

1/4 Jap pumpkin

2 Celery stalks you can use the leaves as well if you like

1 brown onion

2 carrots

1 medium sweet potato

2 cups homemade chicken stock

1tsp nutmeg

1 pinch pink salt

cracked pepper


Place all ingredient either into your slowcooker or large pot

Slowcooker cook on low for 8hrs

Pot cook on medium heat for about 1 – 2 hrs

when cooked use a stick blender and blend till smooth be careful not to get splashed as it will burn.

Serve with a couple of pieces of sourdough

**May be served with sour cream

*** Sometime I add fresh coriander just to give a few more healing properties
